Dear Students,

As the İzmir International Biomedicine and Genome Institute, we are planning to launch a new event series that we hope will serve as a source of guidance for you.

In this series, which we have named “Experience Bridge,” we will bring you together each month with one of our Institute’s alumni through ONLINE meetings. During these sessions, our guest alumni will share their post-graduation journeys, respond to your questions, and provide insights into their current roles, as well as their work in academia and industry. In doing so, they will help build a bridge of experience that connects the past and present of our Institute.

The first meeting of this series, which we believe will contribute to you in many ways and serve as a valuable reference, will take place this month on Monday, February 23 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Umur Keleş. Dr. Umur Keleş is currently conducting his postdoctoral research at the Clinical Research Center of the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University in Malmö, Sweden, focusing on the metabolic causes of fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma.
