About the speaker Mehmet Ozsoz is a Professor in Faculty of Pharmacy , Girne American University in Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic. He has graduated from Chemical Engineering Department ,Middle East Technical University .He got his PH D degree from Faculty of Pharmacy ,Ege University. Dr. Ozsoz’s research is based on developing electrochemical nucleic acid biosensors and he is one of the pioneers in this field having more than 150 papers with h factor 41 according to Web of Science . His researches have been focused on drug-DNA interaction, environmental monitoring, foodborne pathogen detection and mutation-related disease detection. He is also developing novel electrochemical biosensors for microRNA detection based on voltammetric and impedimetric techniques for more than 10 years. He is also a recipient of Turkish Science and Research Establishment ,TUBİTAK Science Award in 2008,on “Extraordinary work done internationally on the electrochemical enzyme and DNA Based Biosensors”. |
