About the speaker Dr. Pınar Kavak has got her B.Sc. degree from Bilkent University, Department of Computer Engineering in 2006. She got her Masters degree in 2009 from Boğaziçi University, Department of Computer Engineering. She completed her Ph.D. program at Boğaziçi University, Department of Computer Engineering in 2017. She focused on complex computational biology problems in her Ph.D. Her main research area is computational biology and genomics. Her research interests are solving computational biology problems such as novel insertion detection in many individuals and improving the final assembly. She is also experienced in computational analysis of huge genomic data. |
