The Dokuz Eylul University is looking to appoint a specialist (uzman) for the immunology section at the Izmir International Biomedicine and Genome Institute (iBG-izmir). iBG-izmir (https://ibg.deu.edu.tr) is a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative molecular medicine research center. Within 20.000m3 space it provides an outstanding infrastructure for cutting-edge biomedical research.

The immunology section of iBG encompasses two state-of-the-art laboratories focusing on the role of macrophages and innate T cells in cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

The successful candidate will support basic and pre-clinical investigations in mice and with human material.

Minimal requirements:

– Bachelor degree in Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field

– Master degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics, Medical Biology, or a related field

– At least 2 years postgraduate experience in immunology or a related field

– Strong oral/written communication skills in English

– Ability and motivation to work independently within a collaborative work environment

– Willingness to contribute to a happy work environment

Preferred qualifications:

– PhD in immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Medical Biology, or a related field

– In-depth knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with common immunological assays, such as in vivo animal models, flow cytometry and cell culture

– Demonstrated ability to design, plan, perform and analyze in vivo and in vitro experiments
