Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (iBG-izmir) hosted specialists from the Ministry of Economy

Prof. Füzün stated that DEU, with 68 thousand students, 13 faculties and 48 research centers, is one of the most important universities in Turkey and in the world. Profesor Füzün highlighted the strategic role of iBG-izmir, as a multidisciplinary research center for the growing Turkisheconomy, particularly within the health sector.

During the meeting Professor Murat Özgören made a presentation on Bio-izmir and the Health Ecosystem of the Izmir. After an introductory tour at iBG-izmir facilities and labs, the meeting went on with presentations of Specialists of Ministry of Economy entitled “Government Grants for Health Tourism Sector”, “Government Grants for the IT sector”, “SME Supports” and “Government Grants for Health, Medicine and Medical Device Investment”.

It was agreed to hold such meetings to share information and experience at the end of the meeting, participated by experts from the Ministry of Economy Sedat Erdoğdu, Birkan Kum, Yeliz Doğan and Cem Emre Özköse.
