About

“The Metabolism and Cancer Symposium” will be held on May 10^th, 2016 with the joint participation of researchers from Harvard School of Public Health Sabri Ülker Center and Izmir International Biomedicine and Genome Institute. The symposium aims to bring together scientists from different disciplines, share ideas about metabolic diseases and cancer while celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Dr. Hotamışlıgil’s Lab. Symposium speakers include leading scientists in their fields.

Transport

The Adnan Menderes Airport is located 20km away from the iBG. One of the simplest ways to reach iBG is to take a taxi and go to the Dokuz Eylul health campus. The average duration of travel is around 20 minutes. The cost is approximately between 50-60TL (100TL is about 37 US$ and about 33€).

One of the cheapest ways to reach iBG is to take the 202 bus route that departs from the arrival level of the airport (the ground floor, bus station). At the "Fahrettin Altay Meydan" station, drop off from Route 202, across the street at "Uckuyular Pazaryeri" station get on one of the bus lines (5, 6, 7, 554, 950) or take a taxi (about 7-10TL).
